Later completing master's degree coursework in regional economy development, she ultimately graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy in local development from Universita degli Studi di Macerata. In order to remain aware of ongoing economic changes, Dr. Reyes Salarichs is affiliated with the Latin American Studies Association, the University of Macerata and the Italian Association for the History of Political Economy.
Due to her outstanding expertise, Dr. Reyes Salarichs has worked as editor-in-chief for the Inter-American Defense College Journal. In addition, she has contributed to numerous articles in professional journals. Even though her career has been filled with highlights, she is incredibly proud of having written her dissertation on critical analysis of Latin American economic theories about local development that emphasize institutions' role and researched illicit economies in the region. Additionally, she fondly recalls her contributions as an Inter-American Defense College educator.
