For nearly 15 years, Ms. Schillero has excelled as the director of Chippewa Place in Brecksville, Ohio since 2007. Located in the downtown area, Chippewa Place is a senior living community that houses independent apartments for the elderly population. An engaging and active retirement community that offers an array of amenities, Ms. Schillero is responsible for the oversight of day-to-day operations, which includes managing all staff members. Prior to her current position, Ms. Schillero briefly worked as a medical assistant at a private physician's office and as a medical biller for the Rural/Metro Corporation between 2003 and 2007. After just a little more than four years in both roles, she desired to take on a role in which she could aid the elderly population. Aside from her work in health care, Ms. Schillero worked as a decorator for a local bakery, Cookies by Design, in Seven Hills, Ohio from 1999 to 2007 while pursuing her schooling. She continued to work at the bakery part-time once she began working in her field.
At the start of her career, Ms. Schillero studied geriatric studies at Kent State University from 2000 to 2002 before transferring to Sanford-Brown College in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. There, she acquired an associate degree in medical/health management and clinical assistant/specialist in 2003. Ms. Schillero has also been a certified medical billing and coding specialist through the Sanford-Brown Institute in New York since 2003. Looking toward the future, she aims to experience the continued growth and success of her career, as well as spearhead a second location for Chippewa Place and continue her education.
