Mr. Kendrick earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in accounting from Lipscomb University in 1978. After this accomplishment, he became a certified public accountant. Following the example of his father, Mr. Kendrick gained expertise in accounting, funding and processing financial information.
Mr. Kendrick started his career as the deputy chief financial officer for UT-Battelle, where he worked until 2012. At that time, he became the chief financial officer for UCOR. In this capacity, he handles financial management for two partner entities - a private equity company and a publicly traded company. Likewise, Mr. Kendrick is responsible for the payroll of UCOR, covering accounts payable, reporting on financial information to the chief executive officer and the board, and interfacing with the Department of Energy.
Having spent time fostering many different positive relationships, Mr. Kendrick prides himself on treating people well, not only in his professional career but also in his community. Spending his time as a mentor, he volunteers as a coach for children in such sports as basketball, baseball and golf. A golfer himself, Mr. Kendrick established a golf program at the local private high school.
Mr. Kendrick attributes his success to the support he has enjoyed from his wife and their family. Looking toward the future, he hopes to retire within the next few years. Mr. Kendrick has worked tirelessly to ensure that the company continues to function well without his leadership, and looks forward to spending more time with his wife, as well as volunteer work.
