Inspired to pursue her interest in the nonprofit sector after years of work in the corporate sphere, Ms. Bevan hoped to make a difference by serving the underserved. Establishing the Idaho Hispanic Foundation Inc. as its chief executive officer in 2018, she subsequently formed the Idaho Women's Business Center as its executive director in 2019. Hosted by the Foundation and funded partly by a cooperative grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration, the goal of the Women's Business Center is to serve women from all backgrounds and propel their educational, professional, and entrepreneurial aspirations forward. Offering various programs and resources, as well as counseling services and other opportunities to help them achieve their goals, the nonprofit notably relies on corporate sponsorships, foundation, and federal grants. In November 2021, Ms. Bevan in her current role, was announced an awardee of a 2.5 million SBA grant for statewide outreach of underserved entrepreneurs led by the Hispanic Foundation. Ms. Bevan enjoys grant writing and designing projects of social and economic impact.
An entrepreneur for most of her adult life, Ms. Bevan and her husband Keith recently purchased Signs by Tomorrow Boise. Established in 2020, their company provides clients with branded visual communications for their businesses, such as signage, vehicle wraps and graphics. Among her previous ventures, she owned and operated Formalicity Prom and Bridal Retail Store and Sweetheart Manor Wedding Events Center in the Cassia and Magic Valley area of South-Central Idaho.
Heavily engaged in various civic and charitable organizations, Ms. Bevans is the founder and chief executive officer of the Idaho Hispanic Foundation, a position that arose through her service as the first chief executive officer and president of the Idaho Hispanic Chamber of Commerce between 2017 and 2019. She is also a board member for the Idaho Food Bank, a commissioner for the Meridian Development Corporation Urban Renewal Agency since 2017, a vice chair on the national board of the Association of Women's Business Centers and her newest board assignment on the newly created Idaho Black Community Alliance and Inspire Excellence. Furthermore, Ms. Bevan is a former membership development manager for the Meridian Chamber of Commerce after selling her businesses and relocating to the Treasure Valley of Idaho.
Ms. Bevan completed coursework in communications and public relations at Brigham Young University which has attributed to much of her success. Honoring her accomplishments, she was recognized by Idaho Business Review with a Top 50 Women of the Year Award for 2018-2019. Ms. Bevan was also recently recognized as a CEO of Influence for 2021.
