As part of his responsibilities, Dr. Mayberry oversees the direction of his staff members, is in charge of business management, and handles administration. He also enjoys mentoring his employees with respect to education and treatment. Among them, his son serves as a laboratory technician overseeing the digital component of dental laboratory work, including milling and prosthetic design, and his daughter has been a dental hygienist for the past seven years.
A firm believer in continued education, Dr. Mayberry believes that education has key to his ongoing success. Due to the everchanging cutting edge technology, it is a field that requires constant upkeep. Additionally, Dr. Mayberry enjoys mentoring young dentists that are considering specializing in implant treatment in the future, and he currently teaches alongside several other specialists at the Integrated Dental Medicine Academy.
In addition to his paid profession, Dr. Mayberry has volunteered his time participating in charity missions and providing dental services in Belize. He has also provided his services in his own community for those in need. Passionate about dental implantology, Dr. Mayberry pursued continued education, and it has served as his foremost priority ever since. To prepare for his career, he received a Bachelor of Arts in biology at the University of Richmond in 1974 and a Doctor of Dental Science at the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in 1977. He then completed the Scripps Dental Implant Residency Program in dental implantology in 1988. More recently, Dr. Mayberry completed an IV sedation refresher course at Duchesne University in 2015 and the Alabama Implant Study Group All on 4 Update in 2015. He is board certified in oral implantology and implant dentistry.
Dr. Mayberry is a fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the Academy of General Dentistry and was named a diplomate through the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry, which enabled him to gain recognition as a dental implant specialist. He is also an active member of the Integrated Dental Medicine Academy. In 2015, Dr. Mayberry was recognized as a Patient's Choice Winner by Opencare.
