Monet E. Johnson has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

Ms. Johnson was named to a 2021 edition of Salt Lake Magazine's Influential Woman in Business list and was highlighted in Utah Business Magazine as a Marketing Professional of the Year.

    WEST JORDAN, UT, January 05, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Monet E. Johnson has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Johnson has served as the vice president of marketing for SME Industries Inc. since 2019 and has been with SME Industries since 2010. Responsible for public relations and communications, as well as web development and social media, she has earned respect for her hardworking and driven demeanor throughout the course of her career. As part of her commitments, Ms. Johnson also collaborates with various departments to manage proposal processes and social events, as well as provide support to government and political affairs. Notably, SME Industries is one of the largest fabricators and erectors of structural steel in the United States.

Aside from her responsibilities with SME, Ms. Johnson works as the vice president of marketing for over 10 related companies, including Southwest Architectural Metals, CoreBrace and DuraFuse Frames. Over the years, she has not only become proficient in all facets of marketing, but in change management, international trade and relations, and business development. In the coming years, Ms. Johnson aspires to serve as either the chief marketing officer or chief executive officer of an institution where she can leverage her years of experience to grow and expand the business.

Ms. Johnson is a permanent guest speaker at the University of Utah Delta Gamma Sorority. She has served as a guest lecturer for the Master Mind Lecture Series for the Center for Advancement of Leadership at Utah Valley University. To remain aware of changes in her field, Ms. Johnson is active with many professional organizations, such the Women in International Business Council, the World Trade Association of Utah, the National Association of Women in Construction, the American Institute of Steel Construction and the Women in Construction USA. She is also a sustaining company member of the American Welding Society, a practitioner member of the Design-Build Institute of America, and a corresponding member of the Structural Engineers Association of California.

Involved in various civic and nonprofit organizations, Ms. Johnson served as president of her local Rotary International organization, corporate liaison for the Friends of Drug Court Foundation in Salt Lake City, board member for the West Jordan Chamber of Commerce and, among other roles, a presidential leadership program member for the Center for the Advancement of Leadership. She has also volunteered her time every weekend by feeding the homeless throughout her community for three years. In 2019, Ms. Johnson served on the assembly planning committee of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Ms. Johnson received a Bachelor of Science in organizational communications, public relations, and business at BYU-I in partnership with Harvard Business School in 2012. She also earned a Master of Business Administration from a Venture Capitalist through Haroun Education Ventures MBA Degree Program in 2021. Ms. Johnson has also completed a multitude of continuing education courses and has received numerous certifications in training, organizational development, team building, conscious leadership, accounting, data analysis and financial modeling from such organizations as the Corporate Finance Institute, the Expert Academy, and the Priority Academy.

Celebrating her success, Ms. Johnson was named to a 2021 edition of Salt Lake Magazine's Influential Woman in Business list and was highlighted in Utah Business Magazine as a Marketing Professional of the Year. In 2020, Ms. Johnson was recognized by Engineering News-Record in its Groundbreaking Women in Construction list. Additionally, Ms. Johnson was featured in the Guinness Book of World Records for helping to create the world's largest human wheel.

Ms. Johnson is married and the mother of six children who continue to inspire her in everything she does.
