Upon obtaining a Bachelor of Science in biotechnology from China Pharmaceutical University in Nanjing, Mr. Tian discovered that a significant difference existed between the United States and China regarding philosophies related to the law. After furthering his education at New York University and earning a Master of Science in biology, he resolved to study legal service instead. Mr. Tian graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School with a Doctor of Jurisprudence, cum laude, in 2016.
Intending to combine his background in biology with his legal expertise, Mr. Tian became a patent lawyer. He garnered experience as a legal intern with Thomson Reuters prior to earning an attorney license in New York in 2018. At this point, Mr. Tian was recruited to serve as a research director for the Qiansong Tech Development Company, a role in which he continues to excel.
Well-respected in his field, Mr. Tian has contributed to numerous professional publications, including the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Journal. Notably, he holds two patents. Mr. Tian has also been presented with the Beijing Overseas Talents Center Award and two awards of merit for short films that he has written.
Mr. Tian is a member of the New York Bar Association, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the American Bar Association. Moreover, he has volunteered for several years with the One Thousand Writers. Looking toward the future, Mr. Tian intends to continue filling the gaps between science and the law.
