A native of northern California, many of his photographs are taken in his home state – though he has also traveled the world, visiting such locales as Hawaii, France, the Netherlands and more to capture his images. Aside from his work in the industry, Mr. Wiles has supplemented his income in the by working in semi-conductor industry since 1991.
To remain aware of developments in the field, Mr. Wiles has maintained his affiliation with a number of groups, including the American Society of Media Photographers, the Professional Photographers Association and the American Photographic Artist. He is also an honorary member of Artists for a Green Planet. Looking toward the future, Mr. Wiles hopes to establish a dedicated gallery through which art buyers can inspire others, particularly children, to create their own vision of what the world should look like.
Among Mr. Wiles' many awards and recognitions, Art Tour International Magazine honored him with an Award for Conservation of the Planet in 2021, a Top 60 Masters Award in 2020, a Top 20 Fine Art Photographers Award in 2016, and a Best of International Arts in 2016. He also received the 14th LUCI B&W Spider Award Certificate of Achievement in 2019 and 2021. Other accolades to Mr. Wiles' credit include a 10th Annual International Color Award nomination in 2017 and a Top 60 Masters of Contemporary Artist from Art Tour International Magazine in 2019 and every year between 2013 and 2015.
