An expert in industrial pretreatment programs, Ms. Venema also conducts wastewater infiltration, inflow and hydraulics studies for sewer systems. She currently serves as the president elect of the board of directors for the Michigan Water Environment Association and is a member of the Michigan Society of Professional Engineers. In 2016, Ms. Venema was honored for her novel measurement of infiltration and inflow for the Berlin Charter Township by ACEC Michigan. She was also named as the Industrial Pre-Treatment Program Professional of the Year in 2017.
Ms. Venema was encouraged to pursue her scientific talents by her father, who is a chemical engineer. In the near future, she plans to continue her career development and become a senior project manager. Furthermore, Ms. Venema ultimately hopes to advance to the role of an executive level professional in her field.
