David Gabriel Gamboa, MD, Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Medicine

Dr. Gamboa excels in pediatric cardiology with Advocate Children's Hospital



Dr. Gamboa aligns himself with the Heart Rhythm Society, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Cardiology.

    OAK LAWN, IL, January 13, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- David Gabriel Gamboa, MD, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Driven to take care of children on a long-term basis and build relationships with his pediatric patients, Dr. Gamboa earned a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University. From there, he received a Doctor of Medicine from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 2004 and completed a residency in pediatrics at the Children's Hospital and Research Center, followed by a year as a chief resident. Following this achievement, Dr. Gamboa completed a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at the Advocate Christ Medical Center, as well as in pediatric electrophysiology at the Duke University Medical Center.

Backed by his professional expertise and extensive medical training, Dr. Gamboa began in the field of medicine as a pediatric cardiologist and electrophysiologist for the University of Utah in 2013. Today, he excels as a pediatric cardiologist and electrophysiologist with Advocate Children's Hospital, where he began in 2017. He is board certified in pediatric cardiology and pediatric electrophysiology.

To remain abreast of changes in the field, Dr. Gamboa aligns himself with the Heart Rhythm Society, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Cardiology. Outside of his work, he gives back to his local community through Young Hearts for Life, a system that has since become the largest heart screening program across the United States. Notably, Young Heart for Life is a free-of-charge cardiac screening initiative that identified high school and college students who may be at risk for sudden cardiac arrest or disease.

Looking ahead, Dr. Gamboa aims to continue providing the best care possible for his patients. He attributes his immense success to the support of his family, as well as the mentors he has had over the course of his career.
