GOLDEN, CO, January 14, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Robert J. Oxford with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Oxford celebrates over 64 years of experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

In his capacity as the president and chief executive officer of Industrial Gas Services Inc., Mr. Oxford specializes in consulting engineering. Having worked in this role since 1972, he previously spent three years as the vice president of McCulloch Gas Transmission, McCulloch Interstate Gas, and McCulloch Gas Processing Companies and eight additional years in various engineering positions, and two years as division gas development supervisor for Mobil Oil Corporation. During his tenure in the industry, Mr. Oxford also enjoyed a 25-year commitment as founder and member manager of Frontier Utilities of North Carolina and beginning in 2005 for Kentucky Frontier Gas, LLC, a utility company that serves the eastern portion of the state. Mr. Oxford continues to consult and manage several oil and gas properties and projects.

A firm believer in contributing to his local community, Mr. Oxford has been a member of the International Gideons for 57 years, active in his country as a Republican precinct worker, and served for eight years as trustee of the Southern Baptist Convention's International Mission Board. He has been a member of Applewood Baptist Church, Wheat Ridge, CO, for over 50 years, and has served as both a deacon and bible teacher. Professionally, Mr. Oxford is a prominent member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and served as president of the Rocky Mountain Gas Men's Association. He notably received an academic scholarship from Mobil Oil Corporation in 1952 to support his education.

Mr. Oxford came of age in Lake Charles, Louisiana, which is a hub for oil and gas production and processing plants, as well as large refineries and chemical plants. As someone who sought to explore overseas opportunities, he chose petroleum engineering at Louisiana State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering in 1956. In addition to earning his B.S. degree, Mr. Oxford received a commission in the U.S. Air Force and served his country from 1957 to 1960 as a lieutenant and as a navigator in the Strategic Air Command. After completing his active duty commitment, he joined the Wyoming Air National Guard as a navigator and retired in 1981 as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Mr. Oxford is proud to have benefited from the influence and tutelage of Mobil executive John Shannon of Mobil Oil Corp, and was influenced, encouraged and assisted by Denver leaders such as Philip Anschutz, Tom Vessels, and Marvin Davis, and by Pastor Luther Mann, in his decision to move to Colorado and establish his own business. Likewise, he drew deeply from the influence of Dr. W.H. Jackson, and served on the Board of Directors Jackson's World Evangelism Foundation for several years. Additionally, Mr. Oxford pays tribute to Pastor Tom Elliff, former pastor of Applewood Baptist Church and Oklahoma Baptist churches for his spiritual leadership and discipleship.

Mr. Oxford and his wife, Peggy Coleman Oxford, have served with evangelism teams from Applewood in thirteen countries and four continents since 1973, sharing The Gospel, and the most important thing in their lives, their relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
