Before embarking upon his professional path, Dr. Tracey initially earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology from UT Austin. He subsequently obtained a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical School Houston in 1982 followed by Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiology Fellowship. Dr. Tracey is additionally board certified in cardiology and internal medicine.
Dr. Tracey had found much success as a cardiologist with the Scott and White Clinic until moving to Austin in 1993. There practicing at multiple St. David's Healthcare and Seton hospitals, positions, he held from 1993 until his retirement in 2019. Moreover, he has been affiliated with the American Medical Association and the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Tracey was further appointed as a fellow for the American College of Cardiology.
During his stellar career, Dr. Tracey was presented with the Super Doctor Award. He was also recognized with an Award for Compassionate Care, Best Bedside Manner and VIP Physician. Attributing his success to his relationship building, dedication and hard work Dr. Tracey enjoyed a very successful and rewarding career having cared for his patients for nearly 37 years.
