LAUREL, MD, January 18, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carolyn La'chelle Reddick-Hooker has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Drawing upon more than 20 years of medical experience, Ms. Reddick-Hooker currently excels as a clinical supervisor at Stevenson University in Owing Mills, Maryland. In addition to supervising and instructing students in clinical and laboratory settings, she evaluates written and oral assignments and identifies key skills that require improvement. Prior to accepting her present position in 2021, Ms. Reddick-Hooker obtained a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in nursing education from Capella University in Minneapolis.
Alongside her primary responsibilities at Stevenson University, Ms. Reddick-Hooker has served as a clinical nurse, charge nurse, preceptor and nurse congress member at Howard County General Hospital, which is part of the Johns Hopkins Medicine network, since 2017. She frequently coordinates admissions and discharges in the aforementioned hospital's observation unit while helping patients recover from cardiac issues, liver disorders, complications from diabetes and other critical conditions. Ms. Reddick-Hooker also maintains her affiliation with the Nurses Service Organization, the American Nurses Association and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

She has also previously been selected for The DAISY Award on behalf of The DAISY Foundation, which honors extraordinary nurses and their dedication to patient care. She attributes a great deal of her success to the support of her children. In the coming years, Ms. Reddick-Hooker intends to pursue a teaching position while participating in research studies centered around the importance of evidence-based practice for nurses.
