Gerald Francis John Lynch has been Inducted into the Prestigious Who's Who Biographical Registry



    MINNEAPOLIS, MN, January 20, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gerald Francis John Lynch is a born Leader. Born and raised on an Iowa farm, he attributes his growth in leadership from his early activities in 4-H. He was awarded two national leadership awards at ages 16 and 17 after giving a blue-ribbon "Leadership" demonstration at the Iowa State Fair.

In his 69 years he has worn many hats: Teacher; Religious Education Instructor; Hospital Chaplain Assistant, Co-Founder of the Minnesota Association for Parents of the Visually Impaired; National Board Member of the National Association for the Visually Impaired; Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist; Legal Guardian for a blind student from Haiti and a visually impaired student from Lincoln, NE; Advocate both nationally and internationally for children and adults with disabilities AND children and adults sexually abused. Gerald received the MN Governor's Award for Volunteerism. Also, Mr. Lynch was a MN lobbyist advocating for better mental health services.

More than 20 years ago, Mr. Lynch saved the Kansas Rehabilitation Center for the Blind from closing. In Alabama he became chair of the Birmingham-Jefferson County Para-transit Advisory Committee. In this position he led his advocates with several hundred persons with disabilities on a two-mile march on Birmingham City Hall. That day Mr. Lynch spoke before the mayor and council members. He explained to them the dire need for more para-transit vehicles. Birmingham had only 22 para-transit vehicles. With Mr. Lynch's speech four new para-transit vehicles were approved.

Gerald has traveled to Tamil Nadu, India to assist at a blind school. He is planning to take $25,000 of mobility canes to Somalia in October 2022 to aid the blind there.

Mr. Lynch's number of hats continues to expand. Recently auditioning for America's Got Talent 2022, he labels himself as an Entertainer, Storyteller, Wordsmith and Poet. He will be sharing three of his 22 personal poems.

Gerald recently was interviewed on an international radio program, "Breaking the Silence", with Dr. Gregory Williams of Baylor University Hospital, Houston, TX. It aired October 24, 2021 with millions of listeners. His topic was his sexual victimization by a Dominican priest 47 years ago.

Lastly, Mr. Lynch is running for congress in Minnesota's 5th district as an independent candidate. He will be opposing Representative Ilham Omar of Minneapolis. As Gerald states: "The people of this great city have a real choice November 8, 2022. They can re-elect a career politician or they can elect a proven leader. I am not going to congress for my namesake. I am going to serve my people and my nation with all I have."
