Cassandra M. McKinney is the executive vice president and executive director of the Retail Bank at Comerica Bank.

After more than a decade in sales and marketing management as an employee of IBM, Ms. McKinney transitioned into the banking industry. Advancing through various positions of increasing responsibility, she is now the executive vice president and executive director of the Retail Bank at Comerica Bank. Named to her position in 2020 after 15 years with the organization, Ms. McKinney excels in providing excellent customer service, while also engaging in transformational leadership to grow the business and create lasting relationships with clients.

Ms. McKinney also serves as a member of Comercia Bank's management executive committee, where she oversees consumer and small business banking lines of business. Initially garnering recognition with Comercia Bank as a senior vice president and retail director of product and sales management from 2005 to 2011, she subsequently became the director of retail operations in 2011 and national director of retail delivery and strategic services in 2016. Ms. McKinney notably spent seven previous years with Bank of America as a debit card executive, senior vice president of planning and integration, and senior vice president of value-added deposit services between 1998 and 2005.

A leader in various civic and nonprofit initiatives, Ms. McKinney is immediate past chair of Comerica's United Way campaign, exceeding the company's committed fundraising goal. She supports Comerica Bank's diversity, equity and inclusion efforts as a member of the executive diversity committee. She is a member of the Executive Leadership Council where she supports their purpose to nurture and amplify Black excellence and leadership in business. She is a member and immediate past chapter president of The Links Incorporated, where she formerly served in numerous other roles. Headquartered in Philadelphia, it serves as an international African American women's service organization. Previously, Ms. McKinney was active on the board of directors and a president's council member of the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, a founding member and steering committee member of the Women of Tocqueville, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and, among other involvement, a founding member and chairperson of Leadership America North Carolina.

Ms. McKinney received a Bachelor of Science in chemistry at Dillard University in New Orleans in 1982, followed by a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering at Columbia University in New York in 1983. She serves on the board of directors for the Consumer Bankers Association and a member of the education committee. She has certification from the Consumer Bankers Association Executive Banking School and is a certified Six Sigma Greenbelt. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Early in her career, Ms. McKinney was recognized with numerous sales recognition awards with IBM. She was also named to Women of Achievement by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. And, in 2020 and 2021, she was named to American Banker's Most Powerful Women to Watch. A celebrated Marquis listee, Ms. McKinney has been cited in the 66th edition of Who's Who in America.
