Ms. Moore was honored as the Teacher of the Year by the Rehoboth Art League in 2018.

Ms. Moore initially earned a BFA from The Maryland Institute, College of Art. She then obtained a Master of Arts in art education and art history from Anne Arundel County equivalency program, and a Master of Science in counseling from The Johns Hopkins University in 1990. Ms. Moore also participated in a postgraduate certification in work and family therapy from Loyola University.
An expert in art education, Ms. Moore began her career as a specialist in gifted education for visual and performing arts for the Anne Arundel County Public Schools. She was additionally active as a counselor for 13 years and an art specialist for the Southern Delaware School of the Arts for 10 years, while there she was named Teacher of the Year. She later worked as an art teacher for the Rehoboth Art League. While working in the latter position, Ms. Moore was honored as the Teacher of the Year by the Rehoboth Art League in 2018.
As part of her dedication to her field, Ms. Moore was a member of the Maryland Federation of Art and the National Art Education Association. She was inspired to become an art teacher as a result of her own passion for creating art. In the coming years, Ms. Moore plans to offer more workshops for her students, both in technical skills and in creative thinking.
