Driven to pursue a stable job, Mr. Stoyer began his career with the largest oil well company in his area, where he worked as a machinist for ten years. Following the closure of the plant, he went on to serve a company that built products for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration as a CNC programming leader and machinist for more than two decades. Finding great satisfaction in working with his hands, he distinguished himself in various different positions throughout his career. After working in the field for almost 40 years, Mr. Stoyer indulged in his love for the sport of golf and developed the divot tool.
After soliciting interest on the golf course for his invention, Mr. Stoyer searched the internet for similar products. Unable to find anything, however, he eventually acquired a pending patent for the device. Following several months of inactivity, Mr. Stoyer collaborated with a patron in Georgia, who provided the manufacturing capacity to create the divot tool on a large scale. The putter mounted divot tools are currently on sale through various auction sites online.
In 2017, Mr. Stoyer established Fix Your Divot Golf Accessories LLC, through which he eventually aims to sell his unique product. Outside of his primary career endeavors, he has dedicated himself to those less fortunate as a member of the board of directors for the Venango Museum of Art, Science and Industry. He also volunteers his time year round at a local golf course where he helps out with what is needed and is responsible for maintenance on a golf simulator in winter which has a league of 80 plus golfer every week. Looking toward the future, Mr. Stoyer aims to sell his divot tool in stores throughout the nation.
