Furthermore, Mr. Turner served in hospitality from 2001 until 2012, beginning with Aramark Food Services as an assistant food service director, and with Longhorn's Steakhouse as a kitchen manager and assistant general manager and Hospital Housekeeping Systems as the director of environmental services.
Mr. Turner received a Bachelor of Arts in business administration at Tennessee State University in 2001, followed by a Master of Business Administration at the Keller Graduate School of Management at DeVry University in 2006. He is also certified as a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt. In 2019, Mr. Turner was recognized with the inaugural Distinguished Budget Award for the City of Lawrenceville.
To remain aware of developments in the field, Mr. Turner has maintained his affiliation with several professional organizations. To wit, he is a member of the Georgia City-County Management Association and the Georgia Government Finance Officers Association.
