MOHAVE VALLEY, AZ, February 14, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael Jackson has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Upon graduating from Kenai Central High School, Mr. Jackson earned an Associate of Arts from Grays Harbor College and a Bachelor of Education from Idaho State University. During the initial stages of his career, he gained valuable expertise in the field as a teacher and coach for Kenai Peninsula School District and Pocatello School District #25. Drawing on his considerable expertise, Mr. Jackson presently excels as a career and technical education instructor for Colorado River Union High School District and as a career and technical education teacher for River Valley High School.

For his professional expertise, Mr. Jackson has been honored on numerous occasions, earning a scholarship to Idaho State University, a Presidential Volunteer Service Lifetime Community Service Award in 2014, and an Arizona State Adviser of the Year Award for SkillsUSA in 2016. Additionally, in 2020, he received a Community Achievement Award as the Teacher of the Year and a Trade and Industry Lifetime Achievement Teacher of the Year for Industrial Technology through the Association for Career and Technical Education.

While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Jackson is most proud to have helped his school win state titles at the SkillsUSA Championships in professional development competitions. Their school, which used to rank last in the competition, had only 500 children. He led the students to victory after familiarizing himself with the rules and preparing the students for a year. They subsequently competed at the national level and placed last, but recovered after three years, producing top three medalists in the last four consecutive years and top eight medalists for eight years in a row. Mr. Jackson equally prides himself on helping students living with disabilities participate in Action Skills and watching them develop job-related skills. Looking toward the future, he intends to retire and help start an academy that provides STEM or STEAM education.
