With over three decades of experience in medical laboratory science settings to her credit, she focuses on reviewing records from multiple laboratories as Technical Consultant to ensure compliance with her industry's standards of accreditation. Additionally, Ms. Caskey strives to remain up to date with new regulations and frequently communicates with Delta Pathology Group, Omega Diagnostics, LLC, and Pathology Resources' various departments regarding upcoming regulatory changes.
Alongside her responsibilities as a compliance officer, Ms. Caskey maintains active affiliations with the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS) and the Louisiana State Society for Clinical Laboratory Science. She has also previously served as the president of the former organizations, as well as the editor of ASCLS Today, which is ASCLS' official newsletter. During her tenure as the president of ASCLS, Ms. Caskey devoted significant effort toward increasing diversity within the leadership team, as well as overall visibility for the organization's many members and the practice field. She has also championed diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within ASCLS.
Throughout the course of her career, Ms. Caskey has been honored with a host of accolades on behalf of the ASCLS, such as the Distinguished Author Award, the Robin H. Mendelson Memorial Award in 2001 and 2003, the Joseph J. Kleiner Award, the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Outstanding Service Award, which she has received on six occasions. She was also celebrated with the Louisiana State Society for Clinical Laboratory Science's Presidential Award for Outstanding Service in 1985, 2007 and 2011 and Member of the Year in 1982 and 2010. In addition to the guidance of her mentors, she attributes a great deal of her success to her parents, both of whom taught her the value of hard work and honesty.
