NEW YORK, NY, February 17, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Eileen S. Marzola has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

For more than 40 years, Dr. Marzola has prospered as an education consultant, educational therapist and learning specialist. She specializes in helping young children overcome significant struggles with reading, writing and mathematics, especially regarding issues that derive from dyslexia and other learning disabilities. Dr. Marzola also frequently supports research-based academic interventions for struggling learners on behalf of public and private education agencies. She has published articles in education journals and chapters in textbooks related to learning disabilities, and has been an invited speaker at multiple education conferences across the United States and twice in Kolkata, India.

In addition to her consulting career, Dr. Marzola previously found success as an adjunct assistant professor at several renowned institutions, such as Hunter College, Fordham University and Columbia University's Teachers College. She had initially begun her professional career as a classroom teacher and resource room teacher for New York City Public Schools. Alongside her responsibilities as a consultant, Dr. Marzola excelled as the president of the New York branch of the International Dyslexia Association from 2005 until 2008 and as a board member for Everyone Reading between 2011 and 2013.

In order to remain up to date with the latest developments in her specialty areas, Dr. Marzola maintains active affiliations with the International Dyslexia Association, the Council for Exceptional Children and the American Educational Research Association. She attributes a great deal of her success to the mentorship of Dr. Margaret Jo Shepherd, who has since been designated as a professor emerita of education at Columbia University's Teacher's College. In 2014, Dr. Marzola was selected for the inaugural Distinguished Honoree Award on behalf of the International Dyslexia Association and New York City's MAIA Education Resource Center. 12 years prior, she had been recognized as "New York State Teacher of the Year" by the New York State Federation of the Council for Exceptional Children.
