Named to his role in 2021, Mr. Doeh has distinguished himself as the president and chief executive officer of the Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWIHN). Selected from nearly 100 other candidates, he was entrusted to take over a critical role in a mission to serve the area's most vulnerable population. Mr. Doeh is responsible for providing superb integrated behavioral health services and supports to more than 75,000 citizens throughout Detroit and all of Wayne County, Michigan. He also oversees all daily operations, conducts narcotics investigations, focuses on maintaining political balance, and works diligently to remain informed about behavioral health and substance abuse. Prior to being named to his position, Mr. Doeh worked as the organization's chief network officer and compliance officer between 2017 and 2021.
The DWIHN serves both children and adults throughout Detroit and Wayne County. Among its many services, the organization assists individuals with serious mental illness, children with serious emotional disturbance, those living with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities and people suffering from substance abuse. In addition to his primary responsibilities as president and chief executive officer, Mr. Doeh continues to oversee the organization's newly formed Community Crisis Center, which is in partnership with the Detroit Police Department and the Housing Department Behavioral Health Co-Response Pilot Program. He aims to establish several additional crisis centers in the coming years to better serve the community's mental health by providing various integrated services.
In addition to his work with the DWIHN, Mr. Doeh is a member of the National Council for Behavioral Health and the Wayne County Jail Diversion Council. He is also a stakeholder committee member for the Michigan Crisis Intervention Team. Prior to working in the nonprofit sector, Mr. Doeh spent more than a decade as an assistant U.S. attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice. He was also an assistant attorney general for the Attorney General's Office in Washington, D.C., and an assistant prosecuting attorney for the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.
To prepare for his career, Mr. Doeh received an undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in 2001, where he focused his studies on political science and English. Shortly thereafter, he earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence at the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University in 2005.
Mr. Doeh is a professional member of the National Bar Association, the Governor's Special Council on Mental Health and, among other leading industry-related organizations, the State Bar of Michigan Public Outreach. Well regarded for his accomplishments, he was honored in 2015 with a Director's Award for Excellence in Prosecution by the U.S. Department of Justice. In accounting for his success, Mr. Doeh credits his perseverance, hard work, modesty and the confidence of others.
