Anthony J. Hernandez Recognized by Marquis Who's Who for Community Service

GLOBE, AZ, February 24, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anthony J. Hernandez has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Enlisting in the United States Army on September 10, 2001 Mr. Hernandez completed his basic and advanced infantry training soon thereafter. He subsequently served as a rifleman with the 4th Infantry Division during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Mr. Hernandez eventually advanced to become a staff sergeant with the infantry for 12 years. (101st Airborne, 1st Armored Division 170th Infantry Division, and 1st Infantry Division)

In 2014, Mr. Hernandez joined the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), an organization for U.S. war veterans. He was later elected as a post commander for Post 1704 of the VFW. Mr. Hernandez was additionally active as district commander for five communities around Arizona with the VFW. (Receiving All American, and All State Post Commander, and All State District Commander awards). He is a Legacy life member of the VFW.

Mr. Hernandez also excelled in his community as a former track and field and football head coach for High Desert Middle School in Globe for four years. Hoping to help today's youth become model citizens and community leaders, he is a proud member of the Globe Unified School District School Board. Mr. Hernandez has also been designated as a lifetime member of the National Infantry Association, a non-profit fraternal organization supporting the infantry's role in the security of the United States.

Mr. Hernandez attributes his success to his grandfather, Richard McMinn. He considers his post-Army career highlight to be obtaining a seat with the Globe Unified School District School Board. In coming years, Mr. Hernandez intends to continue to assist his community with volunteer work and on the school board, and aims to become a state commander with the VFW.
