As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Dr. Barbarello Andrews currently excels as a clinical professor at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Affiliated with the aforementioned academic institution since 2004, she has built a reputation for implementing both innovative educational approaches as well as advancements in clinical pharmacy practice. During her tenure at Rutgers, Dr. Barbarello Andrews has been a driving force in the development of the simulation program at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, for which she serves as the clinical director. In this role, she partners with faculty to integrate simulation-based education throughout the curriculum, as well as coordinating and teaching in several courses including her entirely simulation-taught critical care clinical elective. In the coming years, she plans to further focus on contributing to the growth of simulation as a teaching modality while continuing to influence her students in developing their role as pharmacists, a key clinical role dedicated to improving the quality of patient care. She was also instrumental in providing quality information to those in the health care community. From 2000 to 2002, Dr. Barbarello Andrews transitioned back to direct patient care as a clinical staff pharmacist at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, subsequently practicing as a clinical pharmacist with Capital Health System between 2002 and 2004.

Civically engaged, Dr. Barbarello Andrews has contributed to the Society for Simulation in Healthcare in several roles, including as SimConnect coordinator for its Pharmacy Affinity Group and subsequently as Chair of the Pharmacy Special Interest Group. She has also served as an advocate for Puppies Behind Bars since 2018, promoting the value of service dogs for improving the well-being of injured first responders, veterans and law enforcement officers. She is a member of several instrumental professional organizations, including the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.

Dr. Barbarello Andrews initially earned a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy and a Doctor of Pharmacy at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey at the Rutgers College of Pharmacy. She then completed a fellowship in medical education with Bimark Healthcare Communications and Rutgers University. Dr. Barbarello Andrews has been a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist since 2005 as well as a board-certified critical care pharmacist since 2015 through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties. Dr. Barbarello Andrews also holds several certifications, including in both basic and advanced cardiac life support from the American Heart Association since 2002 and as a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare since 2020. She has been a practicing pharmacist in New Jersey since 1997 as well as a pharmacist immunizer, serving Rutgers and RWJBarnabas Health COVID-19 vaccine centers throughout 2021.
