PISCATAWAY, NJ, March 01, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Professor Pal Maliga has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Dr. Maliga earned a Master of Science in genetics and microbiology in 1969 from Eötvös Lorand University in Budapest, Hungary. In 1972 he earned a Doctor of Philosophy from the university Szeged, in Hungary. He began his career as junior scientist for the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. In 1982 he moved to the United States, where he was research director for Advanced Genetic Sciences, Inc., a biotech start-up in the San Francisco bay area between 1983-1988. Currently, he is distinguished professor of plant biology at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey and laboratory director at the Waksman Institute of Microbiology.
