Cecilia St.Pierre Celebrated for Success as an Educator

Ms. St.Pierre has earned the distinct title of Phi Delta Kappa Distinguished Educator



Since 2004, Ms. St.Pierre has found success as the assistant principal of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.

    CHARLOTTE, NC, March 02, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cecilia St.Pierre has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

While working as a paralegal, Ms. St.Pierre became involved in a case regarding a troubled student who dealt with bullying. This inspired her to pursue a career in education. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in middle grades education, science and social studies from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1991. Subsequently, she earned a Master of Science in educational, instructional and curriculum supervision from her alma mater in 1997, as well as many postgraduate doctoral credits in educational leadership and administration through 2014.

Ms. St.Pierre commenced her career in education as a secondary science and social studies teacher for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in 1990. Her first administrative position was house principal of sixth grade at Northridge Middle School. In this role, she successfully administered a new program that effectively increased the children's test scores. Moreover, she was instrumental in obtaining a new computer laboratory and mentors for students at James Martin Middle.

Since 2004, Ms. St.Pierre has found success as the assistant principal of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. In this position, she assists high school students with their transitional periods, performs classroom walkthroughs and observations, helps support new teachers, oversees bus and vendor transportation, and creates and implements school safety plans, beginning teacher support plans, and school improvement plans. Since 1997, Ms. St.Pierre has also been an active member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. Likewise, she has been involved with the National Association of Secondary School Principals, and PDK International.

Furthermore, Ms. St.Pierre is a member of her local District Internal Equity Committee and the Science Curriculum Writing Committee, in addition to several other civic organizations. Notably, she has earned recognition by the Military Order of the Purple Heart and has been named Assistant Principal of the Year and Regional Assistant of the Year. Notably, she was honored as a Phi Delta Kappa Distinguished Educator. Ms. St.Pierre attributes her success to her parents and the lessons they taught her in resiliency and having respect for others.
