In 2020, Mrs. Carla R. Freeman was deeply honored to be nominated as South Cobb High School's Teacher of the Year.

STOCKBRIDGE, GA, March 08, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carla R. Freeman, MSG U.S. Army (Ret.) has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Since 2012, Mrs. Freeman has thrived as an instructor for the U.S. Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AJROTC) at South Cobb High School in Austell, Georgia. In this capacity, she focuses on educating her students about the realities of a military career, as well as military history and the range of skills required for service. Mrs. Freeman additionally excels as the chairperson of South Cobb High School's Career Technical Agricultural Program, which helps students prepare for careers in various fields such as information technology, finance, healthcare, business management, family and consumer science and law and public safety.

Prior to her career as an educator, Mrs. Freeman found success as a U.S. Army recruiter for more than 12 years after serving as a military police officer for 12 years. She also obtained a Master of Science in criminal justice and administration from Columbia Southern University. Alongside her professional responsibilities, Mrs. Freeman frequently contributes to South Cobb High School's Parent Teacher Association and maintains an active affiliation with the Georgia Association for Career and Technical Education.

She focuses on educating and preparing her students about the realities of a military career, as well as leadership, military history and a range of skills designed to better equip them for life after high school.

In 2020, Mrs. Freeman was deeply honored to be nominated as South Cobb High School's Teacher of the Year. She attributes a great deal of her success to her firm commitment to serving her country. In the coming years, Ms. Freeman would like to complete a Doctor of Jurisprudence, which has been a lifelong goal.
