Prior to her current position, Ms. Fischer worked for The Channel Company as audience recruitment manager. Between 2008 and 2015, she recruited attendees for professional events in the information technology industry, built effective marketing campaigns, handled inbound calls from prospective attendees, and maintained databases regarding the demographics of all attendees, both past and present. Earlier in her career, she gained valuable professional expertise as a circulation specialist for The Lawrence Journal World.

During the early years of her career, Ms. Fischer earned a Bachelor of Arts in theatre and English from Baker University. In conjunction with her primary responsibilities, she is affiliated with Alpha Psi Omega, Women in Technology and the National World War I Museum. She also serves as Treasurer of Kansas City Roller Warriors' Board of Directors, a non-profit organization fostering community and activity through the sport of roller derby. Throughout her career, she has made it a priority to facilitate the growth of the next generation of leaders.
