Mr. Jones is a successful engineer and business owner who accepted a position with FirstEnergy as a Building Mechanic contractor in 2018. In addition to his responsibilities with FirstEnergy, he has owned and operated Mobile Foamzone & Detailing since 2019. Providing quality interior and exterior detailing services for vehicles throughout Ohio, Mr. Jones plans to expand his mobile business by investing in a permanent space where he can accommodate more customers and hire several employees to meet the growing demands. Encouraging others to remain focused on their career goals, Mr. Jones notably had to reinvent himself after being unable to find employment in his field of engineering. Prior to his tenure in engineering, Mr. Jones also garnered experience in retail for nearly 10 years, which has been instrumental in his customer service skills today.
Mr. Jones often volunteered his time during his high school years by assisting the elderly population at Menorah Park Skilled Nursing and Rehab between 2010 and 2013. He helped senior residents with activities that stimulated movement, memory, writing, and creativity. He also worked one-on-one with them on computers and technology. Mr. Jones additionally volunteered his time as a photographer for Beachwood High School between 2011 and 2013, photographing various sporting events and fundraisers.
Mr. Jones initially earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Engineering of Mechanical Technology at Kent State University in 2018. He is certified as a technology manager through the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE) and a forklift operator through the Forklift Certification Institute. Mr. Jones is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt through GoLeanSixSigma.com, a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and a Six Sigma Champion through the Management and Strategy Institute.
Highlighting his achievements, Mr. Jones has been featured in numerous professional publications in recent years, including the Akron Beacon Journal, Cleveland Magazine and The Stow Sentry in 2021. His business was also showcased among Ohio's Most Promising Black-Owned Small Businesses in the Akron Beacon Journal and Cleveland Magazine throughout 2021. To support his professional endeavors, Mr. Jones is further researching becoming a member of the International Detailing Association.
