Ms. Shipe has found success as the president of Miss Daisy Medical, at which she also works as a registered nurse. She has served as a registered nurse since 1979. Her area of expertise is in critical care.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Shipe worked as a school nurse at Pomperaug Elementary School in 1997 and as a substitute nurse for Regional 15 School in 1998 and 1999. She then took a full time position as a school nurse at Gainfield Elementary School. Aside from her primary vocational pursuits, she has been active as the president of the Southbury Garden Club of Connecticut.
Ms. Shipe obtained an associate degree in (applied science) nursing with a minor in business administration from the Reading Area Community College. Moreover, she studied nutrition and nursing at the Pennsylvania State University. In the future, she intends to publish her first book entitled "Fear Not Angels are Summoned: How One Woman Overcame Unimaginable Suffering to Live a Life of Joy" (Peacock Proud Press).
