Prior to his career with Cognizant, Mr. Shameek thrived as a solution manager for LabVantage Solutions Inc. from 2012 until 2014. He had previously found success as a solution designer and senior solution engineer for the aforementioned company, which is among the world's largest providers of laboratory information management systems (LIMS). During this period, Mr. Shameek spearheaded a number of monumental projects at LabVantage's office in Kolkata, India, and earned a Master of Science in software systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
In recognition of his innovative contributions toward Cognizant's laboratory informatics and automation capabilities, Mr. Shameek was selected for an Ideator Award in 2015 and Life Sciences Game Changer Award in 2020. Along with his relentless pursuit of his professional goals, he attributes a great deal of his success to the support of his colleagues. In the coming years, Mr. Shameek intends to play a central role in the development of several new LIMS platforms that will enable scientists to conduct laboratory tests with the utmost precision and efficiency.
