Dr. Roomi, a practicing primary care physician of more than 20 years of experience, joined Emerson Internal Medicine in Concord, Massachusetts, in 2021. Caring for patients at her office, which is located in the John Cuming Building, she provides her medical expertise to those suffering from various health conditions. She also performs physicals, provides screenings and immunizations, and educates patients about necessary self-care and health behaviors. In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Roomi maintains clinical interests in women's health, and pulmonary and cardiovascular medicine.
Outside of her primary career endeavors, Dr. Roomi enjoys contributing to her local police department through various initiatives that support their work. She also donates food to nonprofit organizations during the holidays to support community members in need and donates to those that support the archives of the United States.
Having resolved to pursue a career in medicine at the age of five, Dr. Roomi drew inspiration from the example of her mother and father in helping relatives and community. She completed her undergraduate work and earned a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Baghdad College of Medicine in Iraq. Following this accomplishment, she completed a residency at Boston Medical Center and Boston Veterans Administration Medical Center. Well qualified in her field, Dr. Roomi is board certified in internal medicine and is licensed to practice in the state of Massachusetts.
Dr. Roomi serves as a professional member of the American Medical Association and the Massachusetts Medical Association. A member of the Mandaean Medical Professionals Association since 2002, she has since served as the president of the organization since 2018. Planning to remain in the field for many more years, Dr. Roomi aims to become more involved with patient education. She would also like to begin mentoring nurses, doctors and other medical professionals in the field.
