Eric Ford Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Business

Mr. Ford applies decades of expertise to his work with Celanese Corporation and EJF Solutions

LEAGUE CITY, TX, March 29, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Eric Ford has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all considered during the selection process.

A seasoned business professional with a proven track record of success in leading and managing global projects, Mr. Ford excels as the Senior Manager of Global Major Capital Projects for the Celanese Corporation. In his role, he directs and completes projects for this Fortune 500 company. Alongside his responsibilities with the Celanese Corporation, Mr. Ford has been appointed as the president of EJF Solutions, with which he was instrumental in launching and managing the organization while operating as a trusted adviser as well as the vice president of the board of directors at Sea Star Base Galveston.

Prior to his current positions, Mr. Ford worked as a Project Manager for Wood. In this position, he orchestrated the technical and administrative aspects of Offshore and Onshore upstream projects while managing processes, procedures, best practices, project controls, change management, procurement, subcontracting and quality assurance for projects having global project teams. He was also key in implementing and executing best practices and key improvements into the Company's processes for continued improvement. Furthermore, Mr. Ford directed downstream projects across southeast Texas and Los Angeles, California while streamlining processes and procedures to enhance productivity by 200 percent and win multi-million dollar projects. Mr. Ford gained valuable expertise with Wood in roles such as the Business Manager, Project Manager, and Deputy Department Manager.

Additionally, he has worked as an adjunct professor for the University of Houston-Downtown. Mr. Ford further served as a Commanding Officer, Program Administrator, Unit Executive Officer, Engineering Officer, Engineering Manager, Senior Sailing Instructor and Company Commander with the United States Coast Guard. During his career, Mr. Ford established the country's first Vessel Support Unit during the response to Hurricane Katrina and led the successful logistical response to Hurricane Ike, which directly resulted in saving 12,000 lives and over $2B to the US economy.

An expert in his field, Mr. Ford earned a Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the United States Coast Guard Academy and completed coursework through the United States Military Academy at West Point as part of an InterAcademy exchange program. He additionally obtained a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering through the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Mr. Ford has 24 and a half years of United States Coast Guard experience. His inspiration for joining the branch centered around patriotism, helping others, and the idea of wanting to do something greater than self. Mr. Ford had many significant impacts on this country during that time. For example, he played a huge role in setting up the country's first Vessel Support Unit to support the ships and boats which saved over eleven thousand lives in the incident response during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina; it was extremely noteworthy because the National Incident Management System was developed around fighting forest fires and did not have any instructions or training for establishing a Vessel Support Unit at the time. Mr. Ford single handedly turned the entire engineering organization of the United States Coast Guard upside down, creating a major change in accountability as well as planning. At the time, he was the executive officer for the Naval Engineering Support Unit in New Orleans, LA, which supported 50 ships and 300 small boats for depot level maintenance and repair throughout 26 states. He oversaw 10 different project engineers, a maintenance augmentation team and a few other administrative personnel, most whom were scattered in different states during the hurricane, so he was for the most part on his own at the incident response center in Alexandria, Louisiana, when he created the country's first vessel support unit in response to Hurricane Katrina.

Outside of his professional circles, Mr. Ford has contributed to his community as a youth adviser, parish council officer and Sunday school teacher for his local church as well as a coach of local youth sports teams. Due to his outstanding breadth of knowledge, he has co-authored "Peak Performance: Mindset Tools for Business," "Feasibility of Helicopter Transported Pods to Support Homeland Security," "Air Engine as a Manufacturing Project in an Introductory Design Course," and "Table-Top Robotics for Engineering Design."

For his professional achievements, Mr. Ford was presented with several accolades, including the Coast Guard Commendation Medal in 2001, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2010. He was also recognized with an Armed Forces Services Medal, a Coast Guard Achievement Medal, a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, a Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and numerous Coast Guard Humanitarian Service Medals, to name a few. Looking toward the future, Mr. Ford aims to have more of a global presence, whether it be with Celanese Corporation or another company.
