For over a decade, Mrs. Hutchens has had an extensive career in the legal field. Prior to embarking on her professional journey, she pursued an education at the College of Charleston, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in political science with a minor in Spanish, in 2009. She continued her academic efforts at Concord Law School at Purdue University Global, earning her Juris Doctor in 2021. Mrs. Hutchens is a member of the State Bar of California.
Mrs. Hutchens began her career as a legal intern at the Charleston Prosecutor's Office in 2009, while concurrently serving as a legal assistant at the Waikart Law Firm from 2009 to 2010. Between 2010 and 2013, she garnered expertise as an immigration paralegal at the Torres Law Firm. From 2013 to 2021, she continued her vocation as an immigration paralegal at the Law Office of Juan Dekruyff, where she was subsequently appointed to the role of attorney/partner in 2021. In this capacity, Mrs. Hutchens conducts client consultations and is responsible for waivers, residency and citizenship applications, as well as attending immigration interviews.
Among her professional accomplishments, Mrs. Hutchens is incredibly proud to have passed the bar examination and to have graduated from law school. She attributes much of her success to her family, and to Juan Dekruyff, who inspired her vocational journey.
