After visiting a military base, Ms. Eisenhauer resolved to pursue a career in counseling for veterans and military families. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in criminology and psychology from Le Moyne College and a Master of Education in mental health counseling from Alfred University. She has been licensed as a mental health counselor and as a national certified counselor by the National Board for Certified Counselors. Moreover, Ms. Eisenhauer is certified in neurosequential therapeutics.
Ms. Eisenhauer garnered experience as a crisis coordinator at the Children's Home of Jefferson County prior to being recruited as a clinical counselor at Creekside Counseling Services in 2015. Additionally, since 2018, she has worked as a military family life counselor for Magellan Health. In her role as a counselor, she counsels patients in a clinical setting and performs a great deal of outreach. An expert in cognitive behavioral therapy, Ms. Eisenhauer seeks to establish a positive therapeutic relationship with her clients to make them feel safe and able to reach their goals.
Since 2014, Ms. Eisenhauer has acted as a member of the American Counseling Association. Though she has accomplished much in her career, she is most proud to have helped many of her patients develop healthy coping skills for their emotions. Looking toward the future, Ms. Eisenhauer hopes to establish a private practice and receive certification in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing to help trauma patients.
