ARLINGTON, TX, April 04, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Andrea Kay Banchs has been included in Marquis Who's Who. During the early stages of her career, Ms. Banchs gained valuable expertise within the parts and service department at Thompson Appliance, where she later worked as a bookkeeper. Following this period, she worked with Pier 1 and the claims processing and overpayments department of Aetna. Drawing encouragement from her mother to manage the second location of a shop she established, Ms. Banchs joined PRN Uniforms LLC in 2001. More than a decade and a half later, after her mother decided to retire, she assumed ownership of the company.
Throughout the course of her career, Ms. Banchs has expanded upon her expertise by completing coursework in music business and production at the University of Texas at Arlington. She was also a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, an International Music Fraternity. Discovering that music was not the direction her career was headed, Ms. Banchs joined her mother in the medical uniform business. In order to remain aware of changes and trends in the uniform industry, she aligns herself with the Uniform Retailers Association and attends various workshops offered by companies in the medical uniform industry. Alongside her work, Ms. Banchs also contributed to her community as an alumna and leader with the Girl Scouts of the USA as well as the Boy Scouts (Scouts BSA).
In a career that has been filled with highlights, Ms. Banchs is most proud to have been nominated as one of the Top 100 Businesses of UTA Alumni by the College of Business at the University of Texas at Arlington for 2020. Notably, her company ranked 13 out of 100 businesses. Looking forward to the future, Ms. Banchs aspires to open a second location, offer a mobile scrub truck to reach more people, expand upon her mother's legacy and eventually pass the company on to her own children.
