Lloyd Bowers was named in 2022 as a national Lawyer of Distinction for his estate planning, probate and trust litigation skills.

    DAYTONA BEACH, FL, April 05, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lloyd Bowers, Esq., has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

In his pursuit to become a lawyer, Mr. Bowers attained a Bachelor of Arts in theater arts from the University of Virginia in 1978 and went on to attain a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1982. He started his career in New Orleans in 1982 as an attorney for Wiedemann and Fransen (later Wiedemann and Wiedemann) and in 1995, moved to Daytona Beach, Florida and became a partner with Wickersham and Bowers, where he practices law today. In this capacity, he assists clients with estate planning, as well as probate and trust litigation. As part of his dedication to his field, Mr. Bowers is a member of the bar associations for Florida, Louisiana and Texas, and a member of the American Bar Association, where he served in the House of Delegates. He also served as the president of the Young Lawyers Section of the Louisiana State Bar Association.

In dedication to his community, Mr. Bowers assisted in the establishment of the Peabody Auditorium Foundation Inc., which advocates for the proliferation of arts and cultural programs among underserved populations. For his role in the founding of the organization, he received an Agency Champion Award from the American Philanthropy Association in 2015. For his professional legal work, he was honored with an Advocacy Award in 2016 for his work to pass civil rights legislation on behalf of the city of New Orleans. Due to his excellence as an attorney, Mr. Bowers was later named as one of the People to Watch in the World by New Orleans Magazine. He was named in 2022 as a national Lawyer of Distinction for his estate planning, probate and trust litigation skills.

Mr. Bowers also puts his creative side to use as a musical performer in local productions. He has acted in several works, including "Side by Side by Sondheim," "I Do! I Do!," "Love Letters" and "Working." To give back to the local arts community, he serves as a chairperson and district representative for the Cultural Council of Volusia County, and on the Daytona Beach City Advisory Board for the Peabody Auditorium.

In accounting for his success, Mr. Bowers prides himself on serving as a good listener in both his legal practice and his theatrical performances. Looking toward the future, he intends to retire from his practice so he can travel the world and spend more time with his family.
