His office, which is located in Honolulu, Oahu is where he spends most of his time along with the North Shore overseeing every aspect of the buying and selling process for his clients, including market analysis research, writing and negotiating offers, and handling financing and inspections, among other responsibilities. Originally joining the real estate world in 1989 as a sales associate, Mr. Higgins has worked his way up by devoting himself to the field and gaining the trust and loyalty of his many clients. With no plans to retire just yet, he hopes to continue making a difference in the real estate industry, while also supporting his children's education and setting them up for success.
Born in Palo Alto, California, as the son of a military family, Mr. Higgins later relocated to Hawaii, where he has spent the past 30 years enjoying a fruitful career and raising his four children with his wife, who is native to the land. When he arrived on the island, his plan was to find a way to earn a good income while also maintaining a good work-life balance. An avid surfer for 40 years, his friend suggested that he obtain a real estate license so that he would have more freedom to create his own schedule. Taking his advice, Mr. Higgins still has no regrets.
To remain abreast of developments in his field, Mr. Higgins is a member of the Residential Sales Council, the Hawaii Association of Realtors, the Honolulu Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. He is also a professional member of Business Networking International. Honored with an International President's Circle Award and an International Diamond Society Award, Mr. Higgins was also named a Top Producer and Super Servant by Coldwell Bankers' Pacific Properties for 2016.
Mr. Higgins earned a high school diploma in Port Hueneme, California. He later achieved his Graduate Realtor Institute designation (G.R.I.) from the Realtor Institute in 1994. He also earned the prestigious Certified Residential Specialist designation through study, dedication and sales experience. Only 4% of all Realtors and Realtor Associates have earned this designation.
