Linda A. Washington Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Nursing

Ms. Washington channels her experiences as a breast cancer survivor into her work as a nurse, recording artist and author

SPRINGFIELD, MA, April 08, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Linda A. Washington has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After earning a bachelor's degree in nursing from Kaplan University, Ms. Washington began her career in the field, gaining valuable expertise through various agencies and nursing homes. In her present capacity, she works as a private nurse, through which she travels directly to the homes of her patients to assist them through their daily routines and administer required medications. Throughout this process, Ms. Washington has committed herself to encouraging positivity and an active lifestyle among her patients.

Outside of her primary career endeavors, Ms. Washington has drawn from her own experiences as a breast cancer survivor as an author and recording artist. Through her art, she aspires to lead others along a path of healing and self-confidence. Her book, "Forbidden and Broken, Finding Love Behind the Scars," is a personal memoir that chronicles her journey after her breast cancer treatments. Her music also draws heavily on her personal experiences; she hopes to help other survivors to heal, believe in themselves, and find love again. A common thread through her art can be summarized by Ms. Washington's personal motto; "Be loved for who you are, not what you went through."

Likewise dedicated as a civic advocate, Ms. Washington serves her local community via the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. In accounting for her success, she credits the influence of her four children, two of whom stood by her side throughout her battle with breast cancer, which she is most proud to have conquered. Looking toward the future, she intends to continue helping others heal as a recording artist, author and nurse. Ultimately, Ms. Washington aims to publish another book, write more inspirational music and eventually release her work in the form of an album.
