Mr. Delfini earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and actuarial science from the State University of New York at New Paltz in 2008, graduating with honors. Prior to pursuing his education, he worked as a meat cutter and was promoted to meat manager for ShopRite until his departure in 2011. Following this period, Mr. Delfini continued on his career as an account analyst and category manager for AVA Companies, a meat manufacturer, wholesaler, and distributor where he was elevated to its Director of Operations in 2014 and again promoted to Vice President in 2015.
In his present role, Mr. Delfini bears responsibility of overseeing all daily operations, including budgetary management and the administration of over 300 team members. Mensa International recognized his expertise and he was consequently admitted to Mensa International in 2020. He credits much of his success to the support he received from his father and grandmother, who instilled work ethic, and perseverance while facing challenges to achieve goals. Likewise, he benefited richly from the guidance of Lenny Lombardi, the President and Chief Executive Officer of AVA Companies, whose mentorship taught him a great deal about the intricacies of the industry and business acumen.
Mr. Delfini is also most gratified to ShopRite, which gave him the ability to continue with his education journey and ultimately obtain his degree. Additionally, he is appreciative and considers himself fortunate to have been instrumental in securing numerous prominent (Marquis) customers through his tenure with the AVA Companies. He considers himself privileged to work with Mr. Lombardi and the rest of the senior leadership at AVA Companies. Looking toward the future, Mr. Delfini plans to expand his professional horizons and serve as a mentor on behalf of those seeking to follow his example.
