Headquartered in Philadelphia, the nonprofit organization strives to enhance quality of life, help people relieve themselves of stress and conflicts and strengthen communities. Additionally, Ms. VanOtoo has found success as an international celebrity pastry chef, life and health coach, model, actress, stylist, motivational speaker and travel agent. Her decision to study food was primarily motivated by the need to ensure that her clients receive proper nutrition.
Garnering expertise in various areas of the industry throughout the course of her career, Ms. VanOtoo became well versed in direct care management, compliance policies, medical laws and health care regulations. Securing numerous administrative and patient relation roles for several leading companies, she notably served as a medical office manager and care specialist for Mercer Staffing Agency in Philadelphia between 2003 and 2013. She has also been active as a volunteer and management facilitator for the Alternatives to Violence Project, a conflict transformation program that offers various workshops to help people learn how to better deal with conflict. Furthermore, Ms. VanOtoo is an active member of the DivaGirl community which empowers woman to be their best version of themselves. She brings disadvantaged individuals to the platform for self-worth encouragement to assist them in guidance while moving on from traumatic circumstances such as sexual assault, domestic violence, addictions, incarceration, and the loss of a parent due to senseless crime or gun violence.
Ms. VanOtoo completed the medical office management program at the Thompson Institute in Philadelphia in 2000 and life and health coaching at Haverford College in 2015. She is also certified as an international pastry chef having graduated top of her class with honors from Augusta Escoffier School of Culinary Arts.
Looking ahead, Ms. VanOtoo, known as Dr. Chef because her cheesecakes are like CPR, plans to publish best-selling books. She states that she is "The Queen of sugar.
