Ms. Carli-Puccinelli earned a Bachelor of Arts in textiles from San Francisco State University in 1993, after which she went on to continue to grow her existing career as the owner and manufacturer for her own hand-woven clothing and accessories line, Susan Carli Handwoven Originals.
She is very hands-on and takes pride in designing her pieces herself and has utilized sales reps throughout the country who showed her work at major clothing industry trade shows.
Her hand-crafted pieces are also featured at numerous high-end boutiques throughout the country.
Having come of age in San Francisco, she grew accustomed to having many nice restaurant options, especially after becoming a vegetarian. After moving to a small, rural town in Central Georgia, she noticed fewer options were available and decided to provide one herself.
Since 2017, she has served as the Chef Patronne of the Rustic Bistro and Bakery.
Regarded as a pillar of its local community, her restaurant has been honored with numerous awards both locally and internationally and Ms. Carli-Puccinelli has been interviewed by local media.
In her present role, Ms. Carli-Puccinelli is not only responsible for baking, cooking and preparing in-house food for her customers, she creates all ingredients used in the restaurant menu down to the mayonnaise used in her Chicken Salad, and she conceives the restaurant's rotating menu.
When Ms. Carli-Puccinelli and her husband adopted a Miniature Schnauzer named Roscoe who has diabetes, she quickly learned there are not many diabetic friendly pet treats available, so she created a pet treat line called Roscoe's Ridiculously Delicious Dog Treats that feature diabetic friendly dog treats that are also a healthy alternative for all her canine friends.
In addition to her primary career endeavors listed above, she contributes to her community by working to get feral cats spayed and neutered.
Ms. Carli-Puccinelli credits much of her success to her hard work, perseverance and a hard-working team, and a very supportive husband. Looking toward the future, Ms. Carli-Puccinelli plans to continue developing her restaurant while working with animals, possibly opening a pet shop.
