DAVIE, FL, April 12, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gainson Fan, DrPH, MPH, MS, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Dr. Fan served honorably in the United States Army as a logistician from 2005 to 2011. During his enlistment, he was recognized as the Soldier of the Month and Soldier of the Quarter in 2007 as well as the Soldier of the Year in 2008. Dr. Fan was also honored with a Good Conduct Medal.
Prior to his military service, Dr. Fan earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from York College, part of the City University of New York system, in 2005. He later obtained a Bachelor of Public Health from the American Military University in 2012, from which he subsequently accrued a Master of Public Health in epidemiology in 2014. Dr. Fan eventually graduated with a Doctor of Public Health in epidemiology from Capella University in 2017.
Dr. Fan began his career as a logistics specialist for Optimal Technology International in 2012. From 2014 to 2019, he was recruited as an infection control surgery specialist for Florida Hospital. Since 2014, he has excelled as an epidemiologist for a central Florida healthcare organization. An expert in infection prevention, he prevents patients from gaining infections while undergoing surgery. Dr. Fan additionally ensures the patient's condition does not worsen while in the hospital due to acquiring an infection.
Beyond his primary responsibilities, Dr. Fan is active as a volunteer for the Seventh-Day Adventist Church organization and Brooklyn, New York Nursing Homes. Additionally, Dr. Fan holds a patent on the "Fly Vac" from 2019 in addition to authoring and co-authoring children's books and the fiction novel "Skye Wasn't the Limit."
As part of his dedication to his field, Dr. Fan is a member of the National Honor Society and the Golden Key International Honor Society. He prides himself on learning from and networking with as many professionals in different fields as he can so he may improve upon his own expertise. Dr. Fan is currently pursuing a degree in podiatric medicine from Barry University.
