Inspired to become an educator by the example of his parents, Mr. Sullivan earned an undergraduate degree before receiving a Master of Science in education, cum laude, from Alabama State University in 2012. Upon his commencement, he joined McIntosh High School, where he remains active as a special education teacher. Since becoming a member of the McIntosh family, Mr. Sullivan has completed more than 300 hours of professional development, received a managing crisis safely certification and honed his expertise in IEP development.
For more than a decade, Mr. Sullivan has helped to eliminate learning gaps and instruct students through the development of unique IEPs. In accounting for his success, he credits his propensity for persistence and perseverance, as well as his adaptable nature. To remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Sullivan aligns himself with the Alabama Education Association.
