Michael L. O'Bleness Recognized by Marquis Who's Who

For over three decades, Mr. O'Bleness has led an extensive career in the medical field as a registered nurse. Prior to embarking on his vocational path, he pursued an education at the University of Texas at Tyler, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in psychology, with a minor in biology in 1984, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1986. He continued his academic efforts at Baker University, attaining a Master of Business Administration in 1996 and a Masters in Nursing from Grand Canyon University in 2014. As a commitment to his field, Mr. O'Bleness has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the American Nurses Association, the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities, the Sigma Beta Tau fraternity and the TriBeta Biology Honor Society.

Mr. O'Bleness has built a prolific career in the field of medicine and contributed to Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute as a registered nurse educator from 2001 to 2002. Since 2009, he has served as a registered nurse at Aurues Medical, where he has been contracted to work in interventional radiology and the cardiovascular lab. Drawing an end to his active career, retiring from Kaiser Medical Center, Vallejo, California in 2021 where he was an active member of the Clinical Ethics Committee. Throughout the course of his career, Mr. O'Bleness has authored "Contrast-Induced Nephropathy: What Do We Know? A Literature Analysis" in 2017, co-authored "Species and Sexual Specificity of Pheromone Trails of the Garter Snake, Thamnophis marcianus" in 1986. And in 2017 presenting a paper on "Clinical Ethics and Medical Futility from Theory to Practice to Practicality: Framing a Conceptual Model" at the annual meeting of the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities in Kansas City.

Reflecting on his career, Mr. O'Bleness attributes much of his success to his large network of professional and personal associates, as well as to his wife, whose occupation as a nurse inspired him to pursue his career path. Long dedicated to civic advocacy, he has established the Turner O'Bleness Foundation, a family-partnered charity devoted to philanthropy in his local community. Looking toward the future, Mr. O'Bleness hopes to pass on the legacy of his foundation to the next generation, and aspires to complete a Doctor of Nursing Practice to serve as an academic adjunct professor.
