Driven to become a prosecutor due to her interest in criminal law, Ms. Richardson earned a Bachelor of Science in political science and government from Minnesota State University in 2017. Subsequently, she gained valuable expertise in the industry as a law clerk in the Anoka County Public Defenders' Office, where she interviewed clients and negotiated plea deals and began studying for her law degree. Over the years, she worked as a law clerk for McSweeney Langevin LLC and in the Burger Library of Mitchell Hamline's School of Law. At McSweeney Langevin her interests changed from criminal law to products liability.
Upon graduating from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2020, Ms. Richardson accepted a position with McSweeney Langevin as an attorney. Ms. Richardson was fortunate to have an excellent mentor, Jonathan Mencel, who helped her gain an extensive knowledge of products liability litigation. For the last two years, she has represented individuals that have been impacted and injured by pharmaceutical drugs and medical devices, as well as other consumer products. In order to further her professional knowledge, she obtained a Master of Public Administration from Hamline University in May 2021.
Ms. Richardson remains aware of changes in the field as a member of the American Association for Justice. In conjunction with her work, she also contributes to her community as a volunteer with The Salvation Army. Even though her career has been filled with highlights and more yet to come, she is incredibly proud of passing the bar examination. Looking ahead, Ms. Richardson intends to continue with her current firm and grow within her industry.
