PORTLAND, OR, April 14, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Alireza Parsoei has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Although he originally studied computer science, Dr. Parsoei began volunteering at Toronto General Hospital in the psychiatry ward. He became fascinated and switched his line of study to focus on psychology, neuroscience, and its connection to human behavior. After earning an Honors Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto in 2006, he then obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree from Saba University School of Medicine. Subsequently, he completed a general psychiatry residency through Washington University's School of Medicine in conjunction with Barnes Jewish Hospital, as well as a child- adolescent psychiatry fellowship through the aforementioned university in conjunction with St. Louis Children's Hospital.
Backed by his considerable education and professional experiences, Dr. Parsoei began his career as a child and adolescent psychiatrist with PeaceHealth Medical Group in Eugene, Oregon between 2016 and 2021. He currently excels in the same position as a private practice child psychiatrist with Principle Mind. Throughout his career, he has furthered his education by focusing on research into early signs of psychosis and garnering board certifications in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Dr. Parsoei is affiliated with the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Outside of his primary work he enjoys time with his wife and daughter. They are expecting their second child. In light of his professional body of work, he was recognized as the Doctor of the Year through Eugene Magazine and PeaceHealth. Though his career has been filled with standout moments, he is incredibly proud of making connections with families and patients; he values the patient connection. Looking toward the future, Dr. Parsoei hopes to dedicate himself to Portland Oregon community organizations and expand upon his reputation in the community.
