Upon earning a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Ramapo College of New Jersey in 1999, Ms. O'Rourke began her career as a sales manager for Rainforest Café. From there, she gained valuable expertise in the restaurant industry as manager of Don Pablo's and as an assistant general manager for Jinja Bar & Bistro, where the manager of Paychex frequently dined. Due to her leadership skills and style, she realized she could excel in the corporate world and joined the company in 2006 as a client services supervisor.
A natural-born leader, Ms. O'Rourke climbed the ranks at Paychex, working as a senior project manager, project and product integrity manager, level III project manager, unified support service manager and PEO initiative delivery manager. In March of 2022, she began as manager of operations products and programs for Paylocity, which provides a cloud-based payroll and human capital management software. Outside of her work with Paylocity, she also serves as owner of Amelia's Wreaths of Joy.
Throughout her career, Ms. O'Rourke has furthered her education, earning a Six Sigma Black Belt, which has been one of the highlights of her career, and Six Sigma Green Belt from Villanova University. In the coming years, she intends to experience the continued growth and success of her career. Ultimately, Ms. O'Rourke aims to utilize her project management, process improvement, Six Sigma, and team building expertise to obtain a directorial position at Paylocity or a similar company.
