Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, Ms. Deese studied at Spring Hill College, from which she attained bachelor's degrees in both history and communications. She subsequently earned a Master of Science in contracts and acquisitions management from the Florida Institute of Technology in 1987. Following this accomplishment, Ms. Deese obtained a Master of Science in systems management from Florida Institute of Technology's off campus program at Andrews Air Force Base. Eminently qualified in her field, she is certified in professional contract management via the National Contracts Management Association.
Throughout the course of her career, Ms. Deese has worked in various roles, including on behalf of the Florida Institute of Technology, the Harris Corporation, the Boeing Company, the Northop Grumman Corporation and the U.S. Department of Energy. Additionally, she has contributed at Kratos Defense and Security Solutions, the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center and the Lockheed Martin Corporation. Ms. Deese also served as a program analyst with the U.S. Government Accountability Office, as a subcontract administrator for Launch Pad B at the Kennedy Space Center, and as an adjunct professor of cost and price analysis and supply chain logistics for Webster University. She later retired from a position as a contracts manager.
In accounting for her success, Ms. Deese credits her parents, who instilled within her a drive to reach her goals, as well as years of supportive schooling. Among her career highlights, she is particularly proud to have served as president of the Cape Canaveral Chapter and South Florida Chapter of the National Contract Management Association. Looking toward the future, Ms. Deese hopes to write a book that will share her knowledge and experiences with others for generations to come.
