Ms. Chin has also been active as the hairstylist for the Metropolitan Ballet for seven years and the lead stylist for the Wichita Grand Opera for 14 seasons. During her career, she has attended advanced hair schools in Paris, London, Italy, Canada and Japan. Additionally, she contributes to her community by volunteering in public schools on grooming.
Ms. Chin prides herself on conducting her business with honesty and integrity, while also ensuring she is constantly updating her skills. In recognition of her expertise, she has been honored with 35 hairstyling awards, including seven national hairstyling awards. As part of her dedication to her profession, she was a former member of the Association for Hairdressers and the Hair Fashion Committee. She also worked for three years to help KWCH CBS TV to become #1 in the ratings from last place – they were featured on 42nd Street TV National Show on CBS where hair make-overs were included. Passionate about her work, Ms. Chin became a hairstylist after being exposed to the industry by her father, who was a barber. When he decided to retire, she took over his business and expanded it. Having had a successful and varied career, Ms. Chin intends to write her book about her life experiences.
